BOAT & FISHING
Åsnen is one of Småland's largest lakes of approximately 170 km2 with over 100 islands and with a mean depth of about 3-4 meters but also with depths down to around 14 meters. Torne Camping & FishingCamp is located on the west side of Åsnen directly next to the lake. You will find tranquility and proximity to fishing in the great and exciting lake. It offers the possibility to catch big fish.

BOAT
We have 8 Alu-Linder boats for rent at Torne Camping. The motors are 4 hp. The boats can accommodate 2-4 people. When the wind conditions allowes (i.e. very little wind), it is possible to rent one of our two electrical motors. They can run about 4 hours on a battery. The experience of the lake is quite amazing when you have no engine noise and you can really enjoy nature's beautiful sounds ... FISHING. Torne Camping is located on the west side and in the northern part of the lake Åsnen, directly down to the lake. Here it is possible to fish for mainly pike, pike-perch and perch, but also for eels and other small fish such as tench, braxen and shells. There are both minimum and maximum dimensions catching pike and pike-perch. Fishing Rules are provided when you buy a fishing license. A fishing license can be purchased in our reception. Some tips: * Fishing for pike is best in the spring and autumn. * Catching pike-perch are forbidden the hole month of May * Fishing for perch, eels and different species of whitefish can be prosperous during the whole season *When Trolling both pike-perch and pike, it can mainly be caught from early spring to late autumn, however, the catch is difficult during the summer. (In May pike-perch can not be caught) *Info about "right of public access" in swedish called "Allemansrätten". >> Fishing license can be purchased in our reception and applies to the entire lake. Children under the age of 16 are permitted to fish for free with adult supervision. OTHER INFORMATION Fishing equipment such as fishing rods and various accessories can be purchased in our kiosk. More specific information regarding fishing is also available on the notice board outside the reception. Fishing permit is required for the whole Åsnen. Fishing licenses can be purchased from us. |
